The Auburn Tigers have a crowded backfield, but the nation's 10th leading rusher, Tulane's Makhi Hughes of Huffman High School in Birmingham, entered the transfer portal.

Lewis departs Auburn after appearing in 10 games during the 2024 season. He allowed eight total quarterback pressures, which resulted in four sacks and three additional quarterback hurries. He is the second offensive lineman from the 2024 season to enter the transfer portal, joining EJ Harris.

Keionte Scott entered the transfer portal, taking advantage of the blanket waiver granting an additional year of eligibility for current NCAA Division I senior athletes who previously spent one season in junior college or at an NAIA school. The news of Scott’s entrance into the portal was first reported by Christian Clemente of 247Sports.
