In a blog post, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei cautioned that swarms of rogue AI agents could take over the internet in as little as six months.

A former researcher at Anthropic recently warned that the company was racing to build technologies that “could kill us all by the end of the decade.”

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei has called for the pace of development of artificial intelligence models to slow down and urged that they be closely monitored.

Cognitive scientist, author and AI expert Gary Marcus wrote a Substack post in response to Amodei's assertion, titled, "No, Dario Amodei, we will not be curing cancer and 'most human disease' in five to ten years."

In his post, Amodei said that while not developing the AI would result in depriving humanity of its benefits, “building it too fast is reckless.”
