Elanga joined Forest from Manchester United in 2023 for £15 million. A key part of Forest’s attack, he has 11 goals in 83 club appearances and four goals in 21 caps for Sweden. His speed, versatility, and performance under Nuno have made him a target for Newcastle, but for now, Forest are holding firm.

Newcastle United recently launched a £45 million bid to sign Anthony Elanga, which was rejected by Nottingham Forest. They will have to break their transfer record if they want to land the 23-year-old, as Forest will only consider bids in excess of £60m ( Daily Mirror ).

Newcastle tried to snap up the 23-year-old last summer and made a last-ditch play for him on deadline day. They put forward a cash-plus-player £45m package made up of an initial £30m payment, two further £5m payments and Miguel Almiron, according to The Athletic.
