HUNTSVILLE, Ala. ( WAFF) - Local law enforcement is giving its final warnings as winter weather approaches North Alabama. “Our message is this: If you don’t have to be on the road, don’t be on the road,” Brent Patterson with the Madison County Sheriff’s office said.

Some roads in North Alabama are becoming hazardous due to Friday's winter weather, according to officials. Please see the list below for the latest on conditions. We will continue to keep this updated throughout the weekend:

Winter storm warnings have been issued for all of north Alabama, including Huntsville, and the northern part of central Alabama, including Birmingham.
