The Tropicana juice train
The train usually ran about three days a week and often at night on the Conrail Trenton line. I was lucky to catch it during daylight one gloomy day in January of 1994. Designated CSOJ with run through CSX power and appearing to follow the unwritten 5 mph over during the day, 10 mph over at night rule.

CSX recently activated all of the coke cars that RJ Corman had been storing for them east of Elgin, OH on the ex Erie Lackawanna mainline. From a friend in Lima, he said that it took at least three runs to get everything delivered to CSX there in town.

- Used by CSX as a way to implement directional running out of St. Louis along with the St. Louis Subdivision (STL-Indianapolis). Seen as unlikely due to low traffic numbers easily handled by the St. Louis sub. - Sold to a short line operator. Seen as unlikely due to the current complete lack of online business on the OSS trackage.

I saw a pic on FB today of the new CSX SD33ECO (SD40E3) 1700 in Cincinnati. These are apparently being rebuilt in Muncie, In. Glad to see some more variety showing up. Hopefully we see some pics soon on here. Joe

New River Subdivision Questions.
Are both tracks at Fayetteville, WV in service? CSX had at one point played with the idea of taking a track out of service. What’s the best guess at a daylight train count now with the Clinchfield out of service?
